a small bell ringing
at the end of a pink-tinted alley.

When I opened the door,
an unfamiliar fragrance and old golden lights
settled softly around me like snow.

There, I found a box
that seemed to have been waiting for me
since long ago.

The silk lace wrapped around the box
felt as soft against my fingertips
as the door to a distant palace,
and in the mirror, I looked
like a girl from a faraway land.

Perhaps this shop was
a secret room hidden deep within my heart.

I quietly caught my breath
